Fern Tree to kunanyi
Pub to Pinnacle route starts at Fern Tree and climbs to The Pinnacle via Pillinger Drive Track, Fern Glade Track, Radfords Track, Pinnacle Track and ZigZag Track. Grading: difficult. Walking time is 3-4 hours each way. There is Significant climbing, some steps, and rocky, uneven surfaces that can be slippery when wet and loose when very dry. Dogs are not permitted above The Springs main car park area.

Track Features
Limited parking at Fern Tree in Stephenson Place, the Fern Glade car park beside Huon Road, or the front section of the Fern Tree Tavern car park. Plenty of parking at The Pinnacle and The Springs if you wish to shorten the route or do a car shuffle for a one-way walk. Public Transport Bus stops at Fern Tree Tavern. The Kunanyi Explorer Shuttle services numerous stops between Brooke Street Pier and The Pinnacle.

The Pinnacle is in the alpine zone and extremely exposed. Do not attempt to reach the summit unless you have suitable weather, daylight, fitness, provisions, equipment, clothing and communications.
